Krabi 5 Nights / 6 Days

Special Tour 5 day
Asia Krabi, Thailand

Bustling Krabi Town is majestically situated among impossibly angular limestone karst formations jutting from the mangroves, but mid-city you’re more likely to be awestruck by the sheer volume of guesthouses and travel agencies packed into this compact town. It’s a key transport hub, around which a busy traveller scene continues to evolve. There’s no shortage of restaurants, or gift shops selling the usual trinkets.

Indicative Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive at Krabi

Arrive at Krabi International Airport, Meet the local representative and get private transfer to hotel. Check in. Refresh and relax .Over night at hotel.

Day 2: Krabi

Breakfast at hotel. Today experience private Tour: Krabi Sightseeing with River Cruise

You’re picked up from your Krabi city hotel in the morning or afternoon, depending on your selection upon booking, and taken to Ao Nam Mao market. During the 30-minute drive by comfortable, private vehicle, chat with your guide about your half-day itinerary; the beauty of a private tour is that commentary can be customized to your interests.

Upon arrival at Ao Nam Mao, witness Thai life at the bustling market as locals shop for food, clothing and various household items. After free time to browse the shops and stalls for goods, stop by the black crab statue, one of Krabi’s most popular landmarks, located near the town center. (The sculpture celebrates the town’s connection to the sea and is not connected to the name Krabi, which means ‘sword.’)

Pose for a fun photo under the giant bronze crustacean surrounded by three smaller mud crabs before continuing on toward the Krabi River to board a long-tail boat with your guide. Enjoy more photo opportunities with the scenic backdrop of KhaoKhanab Nam — the twin, 328-foot-high (100-meter) limestone cliffs rising from the riverbank at the gateway to Krabi.

Marvel at the scenic mangrove forest during your 1- to 1.5-hour boat ride, disembarking for a 20-minute drive to Tiger Cave Temple (WatThamSua), a Buddhist temple located northeast of Krabi. Hear legends about the origins of this sacred site, where tiger paw prints were discovered on the cave walls along with archaeological artifacts in surrounding caves like ThamKhon Than, ThamLod and ThamLuk.

You have about an hour to explore the limestone cave temple of WatThamSua, perhaps taking the more than 1,000 steps leading to the summit, likely spotting monkeys along the way to the large golden Buddha statue at the top.

Day 3: Krabi

Breakfast at hotel. Today visit 4 Island Tour to Emerald Cave by Longtail Boat from KohLanta

On this full-day excursion you’ll experience the beauty of the southern islands of KohLanta. Get picked up from your hotel and head to the pier near Lanta Old Town. A traditional long-tail boat with an English speaking guide will be waiting for you, ready to depart to the 4 Islands on this fun-filled adventure.

After a ride of approximately 45 minutes you will arrive at the first destination. Enjoy great snorkeling in crystal clear water of KohChuak, a small karst islet with sea caves and small sandy beaches between KohMook and Koh Ngai.

Around an hour later visit KohMook, the largest island on this tour. It is best known for its Emerald Cave (also called ThamMorakot) and hidden lagoon in the center of the island. The entrance to the cave is located on the western side of the island and is only accessible during low tide. The cave itself winds for about 80 meters to its other exit, onto a white beach with an emerald pool surrounded by steep cliffs.

Continue to Koh Ngai to enjoy a delicious Thai picnic lunch on the beach, consisting of steam rice, fried mix vegetables, Massaman Curry with chicken and seasonal fruits. Koh Ngai is a charming island that features a dramatic interior and a spotless sandy beach along its eastern coast. Mountainous and covered by tropical forest, the island is surrounded by clear waters with magnificent corals, making it a perfect site for snorkeling.

Cruise further to the second snorkeling spot at KohMaa where you can feed the fish with bread or bananas. Thousands of giant bats can also be seen here.

Depart from KohMaa for the longtail boat trip back to KohLanta and arrive at the port in the old town at approx. 3:30pm. Then get transferred back to your hotel on KohLanta.

If you like exploring tropical islands, caves and snorkeling with amazing marine life then this is the trip for you!
